On October 12, 2022, Charter hosted its second annual, and first hybrid Charter Workplace Summit at PENN1, in New York City.

“Workplaces (both literal and figurative) can be engines of human opportunity and potential, and there are many specific ways that we can continue transforming them for the better.” That was a foundational idea running through the 2022 Summit, which MMDT was hired to produce, with the goal of creating a playbook for 2023.

Expanding upon the success of the first virtual-only summit, MMDT first provided strategic services to define the scale, timeline, and production requirements of the inaugural in-person Summit. The event strategy was built through a series of interviews and collaborative sessions to gather information and brainstorm priorities to best define the framework and goals for the Summit.

Once the strategic approach was aligned, MMDT oversaw the entirety of the event production including hiring additional production team members, project managing the Charter internal teams, and executing within a reduced production time frame. MMDT also oversaw all speaker logistics communications, consulted on event marketing techniques and executions, and worked closely with the Charter team to sell through event sponsorships and client activations.

MMDT was also integral to the relationship development with host sponsor, Penn1, being heavily involved with the client partnership and all integration elements pre-event and onsite.

The event culminated in a downloadable, “playbook” which captured the ideas of attendees, the insights of the Summit’s speakers, and was expanded upon by the Charter’s editorial team. The playbook was meant to serve as a practical guide for workplaces to overcome the challenges at this unique moment in time.

“We brought Maggee in to produce our second annual Charter Workplace Summit - our first with in-person attendees. The production runway was very short, but Maggee and her team made it happen! The quality of the event, from attendance to experience exceeded our expectations - we genuinely could not have done it without MMDT.”
